What to know about this drive
- This is the retrofit route: the existing controller keeps its logic, and the drive changes the electrical layer underneath it.
- Pulse and direction does not support STO on this platform.
- If the retrofit machine also needs force control, the
-Psuffix gives 0.1 g resolution with 16-bit current sampling.
Other UF interface options
EtherCAT
Supports STO, and the variant to specify when axes have to be synchronised.
CANopen
Point-to-point bus for single-axis machines. No STO.
Modbus-RTU
Pragmatic when the machine already speaks Modbus everywhere else. No STO.
Pulse and direction
